Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown of lace and tulle, which featured a ruched sweetheart neckline, fit-and-flare silhouette and cathedral-length train. The bride wore a cathedral-length veil with lace appliqués, her mother’s pearl necklace, and a ruby and diamond ring given to her on the wedding day by the bridegroom. She carried a cascading bouquet of ranunculus, deep pink alstroemeria, white roses, green hypericum berries and dendrobium orchids.

Attending the bride as her maid of honor was her sister, Ellyn Elane Burton.

Jan Goodwin served as wedding director.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the historic Laurel Train Depot featuring a jazz trio.

On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in honor of the bride and bridegroom at the Laurel Country Club.

The bridegroom planned a surprise honeymoon to New York City, where the couple enjoyed art museums, fine restaurants and Broadway shows.
