MERIDIAN —
Brittany Diane Spears and Tony Gonzalez, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at The Evangel Temple Church, with Brother Mike Boles officiating.
Parents of the couple are Scott and Bobbie Spears of Meridian, and Marco Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Angela Hall of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Diane Boman, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Spears, Mr. and Mrs. V.L. Mott, and the late Eddie Boman.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Schrimpshire of Meridian, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Combest of Quitman, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Gonzalez of Texas, and Barbara Gonzalez of St. Peters, Mo.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Daniel Boles, pianist; and, Jared Culpepper, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a luxe taffeta and satin strapless sweetheart gown with jeweled beading and embroidered satin criss-cross detail, featuring a embroidered broach at the center and beading tucked into the skirt pickups that continued onto the chapel-length train.
Matron of honor was Macie Pierre of Quitman.
Maid of honor was Ashton Tew Herrington of Meridian.
Bridesmaids were Abigail Gates, Cortney Holloway, Abigail Jackson, Brandi Roberts, Hannah Scott, Skylar Spears and Heather Wall. Junior bridesmaid was Victoria Spears.
Jessica Boman, Cameron Jacob and Judah Tilghman were flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom was best man.
Groomsmen were Gregory Bennett, Marco Vernon Gonzalez, Michael Gonzalez, Roman Gonzalez, Colby Jones, Joseph Spears, Randall Partridge and Brent Scruggs.
Karsten Gullette of Meridian was junior groomsman.
Bubble girls were Alexis Boman, Emma Kate Creel, Chloe Jacob and Mary Rose Leggett.
Program attendants were Lizzie Chandler and Callie Rich.
In memory of her grandfather, the bride had his wedding band tied onto her bouquet and lit a memorial candle during the ceremony.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon cruise to Mexico, the couple resides in Meridian.
