Herrin, Hodges





Dee Hodges and Christopher Byron Herrin were married Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. in the courtyard of First Baptist Church of Columbia with the Rev. C.J. Johnson officiating.

Parents of the couple are Judi Clay of DeKalb, Mel Hodges of Martin and Byron and Kathy Herrin of Columbia.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman D. Ishie of Bailey and Fay Davis of Collinsville and the late Joe Hodges of Decatur.

The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy A. Regan and Mr. and Mrs. Horace H. Herrin, all of Columbia.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Donnie Hollis, guitarist and vocalist.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white gown of silk with embroidered flowers on the empire waistline and flowers in her hair. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of calla lilies.

Jill Bishop of Tupelo, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Christina Herrin of Columbia, sister of the bridegroom, served as maid of honor.

The bridegroom’s father served as best man. Brandon Bishop of Tupelo, brother-in-law of the bride, served as groomsman.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall.

After a honeymoon in Portland, Ore. and Seattle, Wash., the couple resides in Hattiesburg.
