Tibbetts, Pigford





Dixie Gilbert Pigford and Chad Everett Tibbetts of Meridian were married Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church with the Revs. Walton Jones, Greg Proctor, Kyle Bennett and Patrick Sanders officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gilbert Pigford, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Everett Tibbetts Jr., and Teresa Tibbetts Jones, all of Meridian.

Grandparents of the bride are Dixie Gilbert Pigford and the late Robert Perkins Pigford and Katherine Graham Perry and the late Lee Cooper Perry, all of Meridian.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Everett Tibbetts Sr. of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Earl Wilkerson of Vimville.

Music for the ceremony was provided by David Benson, organist; Susie Johnson, flutist; and Emily Maples and Taylor Hildebrand, guitarists.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a one-piece, corset, strapless, A-line gown. The sweetheart neckline was accented with tulle and a delicately placed brooch. The rich lace overlay was ornamented with Swarovski crystals, glass beads, and finished with a scalloped edge and a sweep train.

The bride wore pearl earrings given to her by her grandfather, Lee Cooper Perry, and a pearl necklace given to her by her great-aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. John Gilbert. Turkey feathers were placed in the bride’s bouquet in remembrance of her grandfather, Jack Pigford.

Matron of honor was Graham Pigford Martin of Meridian. Maid of honor was Katie Elizabeth Pigford of New Orleans, La. Both are sisters of the bride.

Other attendants were Amie Buchanan Ezell of Lafayette, La., Kate Marie Ellmo of Atlanta, Ga., Andrea Martin Luster and Michelle Ray Lewis, both of Meridian, Joseph Patrick Sabatier of Oxford, and Matthew Christian Johnson and David Nicholson Selby, both of Jackson.

Lillian Grace Pigford Langston, daughter of the bride, and Ann Gilbert Martin, niece of the bride, served as flower girls.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Other attendants were Charles Alan Tibbetts of Quitman, brother of the bridegroom, Joe Robert Martin Jr., William Nathan Porter, Randall Chad Thompson, J.B. Freeman, Josh Berdami and Ben Shirley, all of Meridian, and Caleb Brand of Saltillo.

Ushers were Smitty Smith and Eric Miles, both of Meridian, and Kevin Hamilton of Jackson.

Oblation bearers were Jason Ryan Ezell of Lafayette and Melissa Morgan Litchfield of Oxford.

Communion ushers were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Manly Chancellor and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwin Rea, all of Meridian.

Program attendants were Sarah Perry of Starkville and Alex Hoffer of Jackson.

A reception was held at Northwood Country Club.

After a honeymoon in North Carolina, the couple resides in Meridian.
