Kirkpatrick, Sims





Kayla N. Sims and Bobby E. Kirkpatrick, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Lauderdale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Davey Wilkerson officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. J. Michael Sims and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Kirkpatrick, all of Meridian.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Ables of Meridian, Mr. and Mrs. George Sims of Pachuta and the late Linnie Jeff Lawrence of Monroe, La.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Essie May Dearman of Meridian and the late Johnny Dearman.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Tracy Ingram, pianist.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless corset-style dress with beaded detail.

Matron of honor was Kayla R. Braddock of Martin. Other attendants were Brittany Broadhead and Kayleigh Kirkpatrick, both of Meridian.

Olivia Booker of Lauderdale was flowergirl.

Landon Duke of Collinsville was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Joel Harrison and Parker Chaney, both of Meridian, and Christopher Sims of Newton.

Gavin Chaney of Meridian was ring bearer.

Program attendant was Faith Sims.

A reception was held at the church immediately following the ceremony. Assisting were Debbie Barker, Rachel Knight and Joyce Murphree.

After a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple resides in Toomsuba.
