Keever Lorraine Gartman and Robert Hunter Hoffman were married on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Enterprise Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Purvis of Kent, Wash., cousin of the bride, officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Judson E. Gartman Jr. of Enterprise and Mr. and Mrs. Herman C. Hoffman Jr., of Marrero, La.
Grandparents of the bride are Langdon A. Barber of Chunky and the late Mrs. Barber and the late Mr. and Mrs. Judson E. Gartman of Enterprise.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Herman Hunter of Marrero, and the late Mrs. Hunter and the late Mr. and Ms. Herman Hoffman.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Bobbye Taylor, pianist, Susan Chancellor, organist, and Terri Smith, flautist, all of Enterprise. Vocalists were Carra Purvis of Kent, and the Rev. Richard Cothern of Enterprise.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown of Luxe taffeta with spaghetti straps that featured a sweetheart neckline trimmed with beaded lace that met an asymmetrical draping over the bodice. The dress fell into a soft A-line skirt and sweep train. She carried a bouquet of antique white hydrangeas and and red zantedeschias, wrapped with the lace cuffs from her mother's wedding gown.
Madison Gartman of Enterprise, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Other attendants were Aimee O'Brien of Pensacola, Fla., Candice Simpson Adams of Enterprise and Jennifer Hume Cook of Jackson.
Bride's attendant was Dustin Murray of Birmingham, Ala. Honorary bridesmaids were Meredith Barber and Morgan Barber of Meridian, cousins of the bride.
Kendall Coste of Mandeville, La., and Sophia Purvis of Kent, cousins of the bride, served as flower girls.
William Hoffman of Gretna, La., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Colin Hebert of Westwego, La., Keith Paolini of New Orleans, Scott Orgeron of Harvey, La. and Timothy Smith of Laurel.
Hunter Hoffman of Gretna, nephew of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.
Program attendants were Adam Connell and Travis Connell of Waxhaw, N.C., cousins of the bride.
A reception was held at St. Patrick Catholic Church Family Life Center, immediately following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Gretna, where the bride is a school psychologist for the Jefferson Parish Public School System and the bridegroom is a software engineer for E-Venture Technologies of New Orleans.
