Taylor, Heblon


Julia Tate Heblon and Scott Charles Taylor, both of Prattville, Ala., were married on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Revs. David S. Price and James Harrison officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Leigh Heblon of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Elwood Taylor of Jackson, N.C.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Crawford and Mrs. Edwin Earl Heblon, all of Meridian, and the late Mr. Heblon.

Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Charlie Winfield Taylor of Jackson and the late Mr. Taylor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alexander Blevins Sr. of Norton, Va.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, organist; Susie Johnson, flautist; and Benjamin Johnson, cellist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin couture gown with a café accent at the waistline. The A-line silhouette featured a scooped neckline and an open back with a café detail. The waistline band and back were adorned with crystal appliques, and the sweep train was accented with covered buttons and crystal clusters.

Matron of honor was Ashley Heblon Lee of Birmingham, Ala. Other attendants were Allison Shannon Autry and Michelle Ray Lewis, both of Meridian, Katelyn Elizabeth Crews of Birmingham, Kimberly Wynn Healy of Powells Point, N.C., Gail Crawford Kraft of Canton, Meredith Long Kimbrell of Arlington, Va., Laura Catherine Leonard of Norfolk, Va., Katherine Yarborough Naron of Oxford, Breanne Elizabeth Nunnally of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Dionna Hendrix Walker of Acworth, Ga.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Charles Clifton Daw Jr., of Williamsburg, Va., Chad Aaron Healy of Powells Point, Barry Wayne Lee of Birmingham, Derreck James Long of Seaboard, N.C., Randall Oldin Pittard of Southaven, Mason Ricks Taylor, Evan Early Taylor and Logan Stuart Taylor, all of Jackson, N.C., Corey Harris Taylor of Rocky Mount, N.C., Christopher Matthew Whitley of Suffolk, Va., William Gaines Crawford Jr. and Curtis Austin Moseley.

Program attendants were Brooke Morgan Chamblee, Leighton Braddock Mason, Dixie Pigford Tibbetts and Amy Roebuck Frey.

Proxy bride was Lauren Allyn White and bride's attendant was Kristen Lee Richburg.

A reception was held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.

After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Prattville, Ala.
