Kery Layne McDill and Drew Chapman Kenna were married Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Conehatta Baptist Church with the Revs. Perry Pugh and Steve Moore officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Layne McDill of Decatur. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Roy Dean McDill and the late Mr. McDill, and Mrs. Thomas William Reeves and the late Mr. Reeves, all of Decatur.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eugene Kenna Jr. of Forest. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Walter Chapman of Newton and Mrs. Joseph Eugene Kenna and the late Mr. Kenna of McComb.
Musicians for the ceremony were Jennifer Carson, flautist and vocalist; Diane Cox, organist; Steve Moore, vocalist; and Lesia Taylor, pianist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline trimmed in beaded lace. The asymmetrical draping over the bodice fell into the A-line skirt, while a corset tie and back closure fell into a sweep train. She wore a fingertip-length veil and carried a hand-tied bouquet of white oriental lilies and tulips.
Ashley McDill Young of Madison served her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Adrienne McDill of Newton and Maggie McDill of Decatur, cousins of the bride; Blair Anderson Comans of Fort Rucker, Ala.; Kristin Hedrick of Sebastopol; Dinah Howell Lachney of Decatur; and Rachel Smith of Oxford.
Flower girls were Lexie Gibson of Newton, Macy Hale of Decatur and Landry LeBlanc of Forest, cousins of the bride.
Ben Kenna of Forest served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Cox, Jonathan Ledford and Jonathan Sigrest, all of Forest; Allen Cravens of Grenada; Matt Murray of Brandon; and Jim Tally of Saltillo.
Program and registry attendants were Haley Chapman and Kelly Chapman, cousins of the bridegroom, and Allison Gressett Petty.
Following the ceremony, a brunch reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
After a honeymoon trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is at home in Forest.
