Callie Lynn Miller and Vaughn Leonard Threatt, both of Meridian, were married on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jason Bird officiating.
Parents of the couple are Greg and Lynn Miller and Victor and Gayle Threatt, all of Meridian.
The bride is the granddaughter of Tommy and Bonnie Cook of Meridian and Loyd and Billie Miller of Quitman.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Juanita Vaughn of Meridian and the late Mertis Vaughn and Malcolm and Evelyn Threatt of Marion.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Sidney Covington, pianist; Greer Goldman, organist; Vince Massimino, violinist; and Lori Sanders, flautist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless gown featuring crystals and pearl beading on the bodice, and a lace-up back. The dropped waistline fell into a full skirt that swept into a cathedral-length train. She wore a veil of silk illusion, edged in beading and anchored by a crystal tiara. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink roses.
Sarah Mitchell of Meridian was maid of honor. Other attendants were Jessica Smith, Ashley Cook and Blair Miller, all of Meridian, and Morgan Patterson of Guntersville, Ala.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Patrick Threatt, Keith Farmer, Jason Clayton, David Palmer, Adam Cook, Fred Monsour, Jacob Smith and Carson Miller, all of Meridian, Adam Clayton of Starkville and Daniel Watson of Clinton.
Rose petal bag attendants were Stephanie Smith, Caroline Brownle and Cole Shipman.
Program attendants were Jessica Bird and Macy Patterson.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Lindi Palmer, Stacey Davis, Sarah Farmer and Janey Hales.
After a honeymoon to Niagara Falls and New York, N.Y., the couple resides in Meridian.
