Miss Hancock, Mr. Waldron



Mr. and Mrs. Larry Thomas Hancock of Trussville, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kala Marlane, to Vance Maxwell Waldron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Phillip Waldron Sr. of St. Louis.

The wedding will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Ala.

Miss Hancock is the granddaughter of Helen Jones Hancock and the late Henry Knight Hancock and Mr. and Mrs. George Milton Carter and the late Edith Cox Carter, all of Birmingham.

The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in marketing in 2005 from Auburn University. She is a graduate of Clay-Chalkville High School.

While at Auburn, she was a member of Alpha Delta Phi sorority, the Auburn University Singers and Omicron Delta Kappa honor society.

Miss Hancock is employed by DAXKO in Birmingham.

Mr. Waldron is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clare Waldron of Cosby, Tenn., and Angeline Shealy Vance of Meridian and the late Royce Homer Vance.

The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor's degree in business administration and a minor in finance from Auburn University in 2005. Mr. Waldron is pursuing a master's degree in business administration from University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a graduate of Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis.

While at Auburn, he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society, the Auburn Singers, Farmhouse Fraternity and served as an Auburn Plainsman.

Mr. Waldron is employed by Regions Financial Corporation in Birmingham.

A reception will be held at The Summit Club in Birmingham following the ceremony.
