Gulf Paradise in Destin, Fla., was the setting for the Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, wedding of Kristina Brooke Ward of Meridian and Brandon Wayne McGowin of Chunky. The Rev. Joshua Ward, brother of the bride, conducted the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Sherry and Kerry Ward of Meridian and Renee' and Charlie Hoffer of Chunky.
Grandparents of the bride are Norma and Ray Johnson and Bernell Ward, all of Meridian, and Clayton Roberts of Pisgah, Ala. and the late Helen Roberts.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Linda and James Webber of Mobile, Ala., the late Alton Wayne Roberts and the late Jean Hoffer, both of Meridian.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Michael J. Thomas of Destin, saxaphonist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of organza, embellished with miniature iridescent sequins. The gown feature a trumpet sweetheart court train.
Brittany Lewis of Hattiesburg served the bride as maid of honor. Also attending the bride were Dana Richardson of Meridian, Rachael Ward of Gautier and Shae Fuller of Marion.
Ryleigh Richardson of Meridian was flower girl. Harrison Papoi of Marion served as ring bearer.
Dustin McGowin of Chunky, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Tommy Pearson of Rockledge, Fla., Tyler Booker of Meridian and Blake Fuller of Marion.
Register attendant was Fallon Hughes of Marion. Alicia Gray of Marion was wedding coordinator.
A reception was held at The Ocean Club following the ceremony. Guest enjoyed a formal sit down dinner.
After a honeymoon in The Bahamas, the couple resides in Conyers, Ga.
