MERIDIAN —
Jodi Elizabeth Oubre of Lauderdale and Ned Louvier McCormick III of Meridian were married Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rob Gill officiating.
Parents of the couple are Bill and Jo Ann Oubre of Lauderdale and Mr. and Mrs. Ned McCormick Jr. of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Ann Oubre and the late Al Oubre, and the late Mae Kirby and the late Zeb Threatt.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Watkins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ned McCormick Sr.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Seneta Webb, pianist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional white lace gown featuring a strapless scalloped neckline with a fit and flare silhouette. The lace of the semi-cathedral-length train extended beyond the satin lining to complement the romanticism.
Matron of honor was Stacey Davidson of Meridian. Other attendants were Melanie Harder of Little Rock, Ark., Elyse Myers of Lauderdale, and Crystal McAllister, Martha Barham and Morgan Davidson, all of Meridian.
Flower girl was Karsen Davidson of Meridian. Trey Murphy was ring bearer. Flower petal attendant was Jayme Watts.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Jon McCormick and Kyle McKee, both of Meridian, Bryan Watts, Jason Watts and James Lauderdale, all of Orange Beach, Ala., and Chris Oubre of Blackwater.
Program attendants were Lauren Davidson and Jessica Thrash.
A reception was held at Briarwood Country Club.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Lauderdale.
