OXFORD, Miss. — Rewards offered for information leading to the arrests and convictions in two unrelated slayings in Lafayette County have increased.
The Oxford Eagle reports that the reward in the case of McKenzie Darrell Frierson, who was found dead in a creek near FNC Park on March 2 after he was reported missing a month by his family is now $5,800.
The reward is offered by the Lafayette County Crimestoppers and local churches.
The reward now stands at $6,000 in the case of Frank Bowie, who was found shot to death in his car off a county road in January of 2010. Bowie's body was discovered in his car about a half-mile from his home.
The reward is offered by Crimestoppers, Bowie's family and a private donor.
