Officials identify victim in Hattiesburg fire

HATTIESBURG, Miss. —  

The Forrest County Coroner's Office has identified the victim of a Sunday morning mobile home fire as 66-year-old James Mabry.

Hattiesburg Fire Department Lt. Nick Hanetho says by the time fire trucks arrived at the scene the trailer was fully engulfed in flames.

Hanetho tells The Hattiesburg American firefighters entered the mobile home and discovered Mabry in the hallway.

He says two firefighters suffered heat injuries from entering the building. A man visiting Mabry at the mobile home escaped the fire.

Deputy Forrest County Coroner Jonathan Nobles said no foul play is suspected in Mabry's death.
