Pike Co. escapee captured in Moss Point

MOSS POINT, Miss. — Authorities say an inmate who escaped from Pike County has been recaptured in Moss Point.

Police Chief Keith Davis tells WLOX TV 22-year-old Richard Glen Maples was arrested Monday night.

Maples escaped from the Pike County Community Work Center in Magnolia Saturday night

Maples was serving a 7-year sentence for convictions of burglary, vehicle burglary, identity theft and credit card fraud from Jones County.
