MERIDIAN —
Play in the Division 5-6A tournament will have to wait a few days following the tornado that hit Hattiesburg on Sunday.
The tournament, which will decide which two teams will move on to the MHSAA state basketball playoff, was set to begin today at Petal. However, the elimination round of the four-team tournament is now postponed until Thursday.
Those first slate of games include the Meridian High girls facing host Petal, while the MHS boys will play Oak Grove. With wins, the MHS teams would advance to Friday's championship games.
