MERIDIAN —
East Central Community College got scores in all phases of the game Saturday and blanked host Mississippi Delta 31-0.
The Warriors, who have won three of their past four games, improved to 3-4 and host Pearl River Community College on Thursday in the home finale at Bailey Stadium.
Deante Lawrence got the Warriors started right when he returned an interception for a score with 11:34 remaining in the first quarter to put the Warriors up 7-0.
ECCC added to that score a little more than one minute into the second quarter when Brock Hall hit former Calvary Christian star Kyle Koch on a 32-yard touchdown pass. Then, with 1:58 left before halftime, Hall hit Ricky Hunt on a 28-yard touchdown pass.
Leading 21-0 at halftime, the Warriors got a 3-yard rushing touchdown from Johnny Deemon with 11:04 left in the third and then East Central capped off its scoring with a 32-yard field goal from Austin Franklin, who also hit all four of his extra points, in the fourth.
