MERIDIAN —
Corey Skinner continued his early onslaught, rushing for 204 yards and two touchdowns as Lamar rolled past host Winston Academy 55-27 on Friday in Louisville.
Skinner put Lamar up 6-0 with a 3-yard run barely three minutes into the game and after the Patriots took a 7-6 lead, Lee Martin answered with an 81-yard kickoff return. Skinner then put the Raiders, who moved to 3-0, on top for good when he hauled in a 40-yard Barrett Dudley pass early in the second quarter. Skinner added his second rushing touchdown late in the third quarter as Lamar took a 41-21 lead into the fourth.
Martin added a 6-yard touchdown run, while Chase Davis scored on an 8-yard run and 10-yard fumble return, while Dudley also scored on a 17-yard touchdown run. Dudley rushed for 76 yards on 10 carries and threw for 147 yards on 6 of 11 passing. In all, Lamar racked up 470 yards of offense.
The Raiders host Central Hinds on Friday.

Kemper Academy 54
North Sunflower 14
The Rams moved to 3-0 on the season as they defeated North Sunflower on Friday.
North Sunflower took an early lead when the Rebels broke free on a 21-yard touchdown to put them up 6-0. However Kemper Academy's Jason Craig was quick to follow, running past defenders on a 55-yard run to the end zone to tie the game.
After expanding the lead to 14-6 after one quarter, the Rams would break out for 26 points in the second quarter. Kemper Academy running back Austin McAdory rushed in two touchdowns on the game, while quarterback Dustin Davis threw for a pair of touchdowns himself.
Kemper Academy (3-0, 1-0 in MAIS 8-Man District 1) will return home to face Calhoun Academy next week. The loss drops North Sunflower to 0-3 on the season.

West Lauderdale 0
Philadelphia High School spun itself to a third win as the Tornadoes blanked the visiting Knights at Harpole Stadium.
Kaleb Moore was the star for Philadelphia on both sides of the ball, as he rushed in a 4-yard touchdown in the first quarter before returning an interception 39 yards to the end zone in the third quarter.
Philadelphia's defense was strong all night, as they frustrated the Knights.
Philadelphia (3-0) takes on Leake County next week at home, while West (0-3) travels to Southeast. More details will be available in Sunday's edition.
