Wayne Academy jumped out to an early lead Tuesday night and never looked back as they downed Russell Christian 54-18 at the Heidelberg Academy preseason tournament.
Wayne (2-0) was led in scoring by Kelly Durr with 15 points. Katrina Lofton also chipped in with 10 points for the Jaguars.
Russell Christian was led by Hope Gibson, who put in a 7-point effort.
Both teams are back in action Thursday night when Wayne takes on Heidleberg Academy and Russell matches up with Silva Bay Academy.
