Stan’s Classic Color Pin No-Tap Tournament was in full swing this past Sunday night.
Atlanta resident Ronnie Dobbs dominated the lanes taking first place in the men’s section with an exciting 472 series. Regina Anderson rolled out first place for the women with a 670. Angela Massey had the strike jackpot ticket in the first game, Ronnie Dobbs and Corey Connell held the winning tickets in the second game and Tom Connell and Harold Riley were drawn in the third. The color pin spin the wheel shot went to John Carter.
Stan’s Classic Color Pin No-Tap Tournament will next be held Nov. 15. A sign-up sheet for next month is at the front counter.
Stan’s Classic Team No-Tap has dates set for the Thanksgiving holiday. Tournament action begins Nov. 25 and runs through Nov. 29. Teams will consist of five members with 160 average and below receiving an eight count no-tap and 161 average and above receiving a nine count no-tap.
Dixie Bowl Lanes will also be hosting its annual Halloween Party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $10 per person for the three hours of bowing. Dixie Bowl Lanes will also hold the annual Halloween Moonlight bowl for those who want to stay up late and party. Moonlight bowl is from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. with a cost of $11 per person and we do require four people per lane.
Halloween parties will have orange pins, costume contest, light, music and much more. Reservations are accepted for both parties by calling any of the staff members of Dixie Bowl Lanes at 601-483-2283.
Brandon Curby took high game for the youth bowlers Saturday morning with a 218 game and Jason LaShane wrapped up high series for the youths with a 583. Katie Bobby rolled out high game and series for the youth girls with a 77-207.
Norma Rose seized high game during the Monday Senior league with a 197 game. Annie Cherry rolled out high series with a 184, 177-503 series Thursday afternoon. Milton Hudson took high game and series for the men during the Thursday Non-Smoking with 232, 207, 204 games for an impressive 643 series.
High rollers for the seniors were Linda Genin 188-501; Doris Smith 181; Clara Moncrief 181; Sue Long 177; Deloris Glenn 171; Bettie Larkin 171; Judy Harwell 170; Sonny Pinion 217; Joe Hasson 214, 212-594; Richard Sowder 214; Jimmy Thomas Sr. 213, 202-603; Robert Poole 211; Cletis McCarra 208; Mike Reekie 201; John Parker 201; Frank Willingham 200 and Leslie McClinton 200.
Monday nighter Cathy Jones struck high game for the week with a 226, while Kate Grant locked up high series Friday night with a 203-591 series. Alan Hand picked up his first seven hundred of the year during the Monday night Hucklebuck league along with high game and series. Hand rolled out a massive 265 game 712 series.
