Clarkdale finished the 2012 season without a win, as the Bulldogs fell to Mize 41-7 Friday night.
Things did not start well for Clarkdale, as it fumbled the opening kickoff only to see Mize score on the next play on a 24-yard touchdown run.
Mize would strike again later in the first, scoring on a 55-yard run to make the 14-0.
In the second quarter, Mize would get two more touchdowns, including a 19-yard touchdown pass right before the half to put them up 27-0 heading into the break.
The lone bright spot on the night for Clarkdale came in the fourth quarter, as Dontae Shelby ran in a 41-yard touchdown to give the Bulldogs their only score of the night.
“We got to go back the drawing board next season and see what we can do,” head coach Chris Richmond said. “We got a young team, and we really got to get back into that weight room and get more physical.”
Neshoba Central 51
Lanier 8
Neshoba Central moved to 5-5 on the season, as the Rockets defeated Lanier 51-8 Friday night.
Rocket's running back O'neil McCarty put Neshoba on the board early in the first, scoring on a five-yard touchdown followed by a two-point conversion to put the Rockets up 8-0.
Dion Cole would strike next for for Neshoba, running in an eleven yard touchdown to make the score 14-0. The Rockets would increase the lead to 16-0 later in the first as Lanier snapped the ball out of its end zone for a safety.
McCarty would score again from 14 yards out, followed by a Joseph Willis touchdown pass to Shundrick Russell to put the Rockets up 30-0. McCarty would add one more touchdown before the half to put Neshoba up 37-0 heading into the break. The senior running back would finish the day 38 yards and three touchdowns on the ground for the Rockets.
In the third quarter, Neshoba kept on coming as Edrick McClendon scored on a 35-yard touchdown as the Rockets rolled to a blowout-victory.

Bulldogs win again, beat S. Carolina in SEC Tournament
Demarcus Henderson and Wes Rea both had RBI singles in the ninth inning to lift Mississippi State to a 5-3 win over South Carolina Wednesday night in the second round of the Southeastern Conference tournament.
The Bulldogs (42-16) loaded the bases with one out before Henderson and Rea drove in runs on consecutive at-bats for the second time in the game.
Mississippi State had beaten Missouri 2-1 in 17 innings Tuesday night, matching the longest game in SEC tournament history.
Reliever Myles Gentry (4-0) limited the Gamecocks (39-17) to a one-out single in the bottom of the ninth.
Gentry pitched 5-2/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out eight.
Rea was 3 for 4 while Henderson drove in three runs.
Mississippi State led 3-0 before South Carolina tied it up in the fourth.
Max Schrock drew a bases loaded walk and Brison Celek followed with a two-run single. -

Morgan takes runner-up at Nationals
Meridian Community College golfer, TJ Morgan, from Bruce, MS, tied for the
individual medalist at the NJCAA D1 National Championship held in Lubbock, TX, but lost on the first hole of a playoff. TJ shot 7 under for the tournament with a 76 on the first day followed by 68, 67 and a last round 70. Aksel Olsen from Wallace State Community College won the playoff. TJ was named First Team All-American for his high finish. -
