MERIDIAN —
Dennis Miles paced four Wildcats in double figures Friday night as Meridian High downed Wingfield 67-56 in the Thanksgiving Classic at Forest Hill.
Miles, a Dandy Dozen selection by the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, scored 19 to lead the 5-1 Wildcats. Jorden Andrews and Devonte Brewster each added 16 and Jaricus Hubbard finished with 10 points.
Meridian plays Provine in the tournament today.

The Rebelettes blanked visiting ERA 26-0 in the first quarter last Saturday and cruised from there.
Leake (7-0) was led by Hannah Peoples’ 21 points, while Anna Kat Nowell added 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Mary Grace Key finished with 16 points.
ERA was paced by Karlie Coghlan’s nine.

The Rebelettes raced out to a huge lead early Monday as they led visiting Columbia 29-4 after the first quarter. Leake extended a 38-23 halftime lead into a 56-33 lead entering the fourth.
Mary Grace Key led 8-0 Leake with 27 points and eight rebounds, while Hannah Peoples and Hannah Moore each scored 13 points with Moore hauling in 15 rebounds. Chloe Thaggard had 10 rebounds and Anna Kat Nowell had seven assists and five steals to go along with six points and six rebounds as only five Rebelettes scored.
