Stan’s Classic Color Pin No-Tap was in full swing Sunday night. Bowlers filled the end lanes with Tom Connell taking first place for the men with a massive 752 series and Regina Anderson rolling first place for the women with a 645.
In the first game, Corey Connell, Angela Massey and Tyrone McAlpine hit three strike jackpots. In the second game, Tyrone McAlpine and Angela Massey struck up naturals for the jackpot and newcomer Joni Bruister took a roll as did Andrea Clearman in the third game. Jamie White took a spin on the wheel.
Next color pin will be Oct. 18 and a sign-up sheet is available at the front counter. Check-in starts at 5 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 6 p.m. Come out and join the fun of no-tap bowling. Stan’s Classic Color Pin No-Tap has now awarded more than $24,000 in prize money this year.
Locker rent is now due. All bowlers who rent lockers will need to pay the locker rent by the end of the month. On Oct. 1 all lockers that have not been paid will be cleared out by management. Remember to pay your locker by the end of the month.
Fall-Winter leagues are still in need of bowlers and teams to finish filling out our 2009-10 rosters. Anyone interested in joining us for league bowling may come out the night you would like to bowl or contact the staff at Dixie Bowl Lanes at 601-483-2283. Youth bowlers began their season this past Saturday morning and will be accepting any youth that is interested in learning to bowl over the next few weeks.

Debbie Jones picked up high game for the seniors Monday afternoon with a 207 game, while Louvenia Staten rolled out a 182, 175 to take high series of 509. Tyrone McAlpine wrapped up high game and series for the men with 251, 238, 228 games for the second seven hundred of the year with a 717. Senior high scores include Kate Grant 199, 169; Linda Genin 184, 163; Renee King 182, 163; Verniece Scott 178; Annie Cherry 174, 163; Brenda Thomas 170; Ina Fairley 168; Annette Palmer 168; Bettye Simmons 168; Mary Dearing 166; Judy Harwell 165; Bobbie Ramsey 165; Carol Mires 161; Joe Lannon 247; Johnny Pollock 223-600; Don McWilliams 222; Milton Hudson 212-594; Larry Hattell and Robert Jenkins 204; Frank Willingham 202; Keith Cherry 201 and Jimmy Thomas Sr. 201.
Cathy Jones rolled out high game for the women, Tuesday Bowlerette’s, with a 223, 213. Wednesday night Denise Rutledge took high series for the women with a 221 and 605 series. John Parker dominated high game for the men Wednesday night with a 254, 238-685, while Queen City bowler Jack Blythe took the bragging rights for high series with a 252 game 687 series.
