MERIDIAN — Meridian Community College women's basketball team was on the road Wednesday night as it took a 75-68 Miss Lou Conference win over Southern University at Shreveport.
The Lady Eagles were lead by Amber Fields 14-point, 10-rebound double-double.
With the victory MCC now moves to 17-5, 3-2 on the season.
Meridian will get back in action Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as it takes on Delgado in a conference matchup.

Meridian dropped a nine-point decision on the road Wednesday night as Southern University at Shreveport held on for the victory.
MCC was led by Emmanuel Donald's team-high 22-point performance.
The Eagles will be back at home on Saturday versus Delgado. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
