MERIDIAN —
Southeast Lauderdale turned a triple play Tuesday night. But it still wasn’t enough as Quitman edged the visiting Tigers 4-1.
Kallie Belcher had two hits to lead the 10-4 Panthers, who have won six straight.
Southeast, though, did turn in the game’s biggest highlight when Denisha Knight hauled down a long fly ball over her shoulder with the bases loaded. Knight then gunned the ball to third base to double up the first Panther runner and the next Quitman player was tagged out for the final out of the frame.
