MORTON – Services for Terry Carney were held Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel, with the Revs. Rick Hammerstrom, Don Carney and Ronnie Spears officiating. Burial is in Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Carney, 65, a resident of Pelahatchie, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his residence. He had lived in the Rehobeth Community for the past eight years, moving from Pearl and Pisgah. Mr. Carney was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church of Pelahatchie. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and work in the outdoors and he loved going to church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Carney of Pelahatchie; seven children, Patty Pike and husband, Joe, of Meridian, Debra Skinner and husband, Ron, of Valdosta, Ga., Renea Carney of Meridian, Aletha White and husband, Eddie, of Pearl, Dewight Roper and wife, Mary Ann, of Pelahatchie, Suzanne Pace and husband, Gary, of Pelahatchie, and Rhonda Gilmore and husband, Scott, of Pelahatchie; one brother, Jerry Carney of Meridian; one sister, Sue Carney of Dallas, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Margie Carney; and two brothers, Norris and Don Carney.
Pallbearers were Chuck White, Jason Roper, Justin Roper, Chris Bates, Cody Parker and Brennan Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Ethan Huddleston and Jerry Parker.
