Terry Leon "T.L." Clayton

MERIDIAN —    A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date for Terry Leon “T.L.” Clayton who died peacefully at Anderson Regional Medical Center on Jan. 24, 2013 after a lengthy illness. T.L. was born in Meridian, Miss., on July 18, 1939 to Clarence and Ivey Inez (Boykin) Clayton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Terry was an electronics expert and troubleshooter and was employed for many years at Peavey Melody Music. He was a world-class tinkerer and was always thinking of better ways of doing things. People will also remember his “Letters to the Editor” which he frequently sent, for he was a man with strong opinions and a willingness to share them. T.L. also had a great love of his pets including “White Dog.”

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and many distant cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents and two sisters: Celia Joanna Parish of Vernon, Fla., and Thelma Clayton Hughes of Humboldt, Tenn.

T.L. Clayton willed his body to science. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.

Family and friends may sign the online memorial book or leave a personal note at jamesfwebb.com
