Services for Harmon William Rasberry will be Saturday, at 1 p.m., at Stonewall United Methodist Church with Rev. James Hall and Rev. Lynn McCraney officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Rasberry, 98, of Collins, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Infinity Hospice in Marion. He was a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church. Mr. Rasberry was a member of Wilson Lodge #72, Stonewall. He was past president of Stonewall Lion’s Club, and was chairman of St. Jude Campaign for Clarke County. Mr. Rasberry was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of Add Riley VFW Post.
Survivors include his daughter, Dolyene Davis and her husband John R. Davis; two grandchildren: James Davis and his wife Starla, and Jennifer Cook and her husband Glenn; six great-grandchildren: Riley Cook, Krysta Davis, Baeleigh Cook, Colin Cook Andrew Davis and Katie Davis; and sister, Annie Laura Beeman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Novaliene “Dirt” Rasberry.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and great-grandsons.
