Willie Mae Pogue

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Willie Mae Pogue will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m., at Center Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ervin Mooney and Rev. Jimmy Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mrs. Pogue, 84, of Meridian died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a lifetime active member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Pogue retired from Burnley Shirt Factory.

    Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Martin J. Pogue of Meridian; brothers: Bobby R. Robinson, James L. Robinson and wife Notie, and William Robinson and wife Minnie; sister-in-law, Alice Robinson; nephews: Johnny Robinson, Billy G. Robinson Jr., Tommy Robinson, Tim Robinson, Mike Robinson, Eddie Robinson, Jason Oswalt and Harun A. Rashid; great-nephews: Johnny  “B” Robinson, Colt Robinson, Dakota Robinson, Johnny Swancey Jr., Trek Swancey, Daniel Robinson, David Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Joshua Davis, Chance Dalton, Ty Harbour, Benjamin Jenkins, Christian Robertson, James Michael Robinson, Dylan Robinson, and Max Robinson; great-great-nephews: Noah and Memphis Swancey, Nick and Logan Barnard ; nieces: Charlotte Oswalt, Lori Swancey, Debbie Robertson, Kathy Jenkins, Tammy Robinson, Susie Robinson, Judy Robinson, Shirley Robinson, Nancy Dalton and Linda Rashid; great-nieces: Kali Brooks Oswalt, Tara Robinson, Heather Thacker, Connie Whitehead, Britaine Davis, Dahlia and Maya Rashid, Pamela Robertson, Lauren Robertson and Shawna Jenkins; and, great-great-nieces: Lily Barnard, Terri RayAnn Harbour and Miley Swancey.

    She was preceded in death by her brothers: Jimmy L. Robinson and Billy G. Robinson; parents, Elmer and Annie L. Robinson; sister-in-law, Fredna Catlett; and nephew, Terry E. Dalton.

    Pallbearers will be Jason Oswalt, Tim Robinson, Johnny Robinson, Chance Dalton, Joshua Davis and Ty Harbour.

    Honorary pallbearers are Alvin Lamar Catlett, Maya Rashid, Dahlia Rashid, Kali Brooks Oswalt, Britaine Davis, Terri RayAnn Harbour and in memory of Jimmy L. Robinson.

    In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Jeff Anderson Cancer Patient Benevolent Fund.

    Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
