Terry E. Dalton

MERIDIAN —     Services for Terry E. Dalton will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m., at Center Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Jimmy Culpepper, Ervin Mooney, and Doug Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Dalton, 51, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Terry was born to Charles and Patricia Dalton on April 25, 1961 in Boston, Mass. He was self employed and owner of Dalton Auto Sales in Meridian. Mr. Dalton was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corp and served as a Presidential Guard for President Jimmy Carter.

    Terry loved life and enjoyed every moment of it. His life was filled with laughter, funny stories and jokes. He most enjoyed hanging out with family and friends. Terry loved each one of his children and enjoyed beyond words spending time with his three month old grandbaby, Terri Ray Ann Harbour.

    Survivors include his spouse, Nancy Catlett Dalton; three children: Chance Dalton, Britaine Davis and Joshua Davis; grandchild, Terri Ray Ann Harbour; and future son-in-law, Ty Harbour, all of Meridian; father, Charles Dalton of Tupelo; sister, Darla Mason and brother-in-law Drew Mason of Huntsville, Ala.; brother, Eddie Dalton and sister-in-law Lisa Dalton of Tupelo; sister-in-law, Linda Rashid and brother-in-law Harun Al Rashid of Mars, Pa.; father-in-law, Alvin Lamar Catlett of Meridian; nieces: Kim Bucci and husband Rob, and Dana Tubb, all of Tupelo, Dani Mason of Huntsville, Ala., and Dahlia and Maya Rashid of Mars, Pa.; and, great-nieces: Caroline Bucci of Tupelo, and Marydale and Ella Tubb, both of Tupelo.

    He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Tierney Dalton; sister, Lisa Dalton; and mother-in-law, Fredna Catlett .

    The family requests memorial be made to Anderson Regional Cancer Center.

    Pallbearers will be Larry Hearn, Mitch Bowers, Kent Stephens, Bill Denning, Lucky Lisenbe, Lee Allen, Rick Pollock, and Jeff Peters.

    Honorary pallbearer in memory of Wayne Hall.

    Anyone who would like to share a “Terry Story” during the service is welcomed and encouraged to. Terry would not want us to grieve over our loss, but find joy in celebrating his life.

    Visitation will be Friday, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
