MERIDIAN —
Graveside services for James Delbert Ivey will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Revs. Carlos Clinton and Roger Burk officiating. Barham Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ivey, 88, of Meridian, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at R.P. White Nursing Center. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Community Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Ivey; son, James S. Ivey and his wife Catherine, all of Meridian; daughter, Mo White and her husband, Michael, of Richard, Va.; daughter-in-law, Dona Ivey of Meridian; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Pauline Ivy Ivey; and son, John Alvin Ivey.
The family requests memorials be made to Community Seventh Day Adventist School.
Visitation will be Monday, 30 minutes prior to services at the cemetery.
