MERIDIAN —
Services for Helen McLelland Newell will be held today, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Frank Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Newell, 85, of Meridian, died Sunday, August 12, 2012, at her home.
Survivors include her sons: David Newell Jr. and his wife Rita, and Robert Newell and his wife Katherine; daughter, Dianne Manning and her husband Ed; grandchildren: Daniel Newell and his wife Amy, Brett Manning and his wife Jamie, Christy Pritchard and her husband Anthony, Corbitt Newell, Blair Miles and her husband Eric, Baker Newell, Barrett Newell, and Blakely Manning; and, great-grandchildren: Gracie and Libby Newell, Mason Daniels and Maggie Manning, Zane and Wes Pritchard, Ashlin and Emma Newell, Madison Miles, Molly Corbitt Miles, Manning Miles, and Maci Manning.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Newell Sr.; parents, Earl and Julia McLelland; sisters: Maudie Freeman, Eunice Kitchens, and Sallie Catlett; and brothers: Thomas and Robert McLelland.
Pallbearers will be The Knights of Columbus.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Patrick School Building Fund.
