Paul Emmett Hickman



PHILADELPHIA — Services for Paul Emmett Hickman will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with the Rev. Dobie Henry officiating. Burial will be in the Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hickman, 49, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Riley Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Hickman; four sisters; one brother; two uncles; one great-aunt and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.



Annie L. Scott

Retired cook



Services for Annie L. Scott will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Christ Tabernacle Church in Meridian with the Rev. Fred Scott officiating. Burial will be in Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Meehan. E.E. McDonald Community Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Scott, 76, of Meridian, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at Riley Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the community chapel in Meridian and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.



Annie Mae Thurner



Services for Annie Mae Thurner will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sephus Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Thurner, 85, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at A.G. Rhodes Nursing Home in Marietta, Ga. She was a former member of 15th Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Camerod James of Marietta and Betty Ann Cochran and her husband, Sonny, of Carthage; grandchildren, Tanya Davis of Brandon and John Davis and his wife, Dawn, of Byrum; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Davis and Matthew Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Thurner.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Tiwanna Denise Dansby

Dollar General Store employee



Services for Tiwanna Denise Dansby will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Center Ridge in Shubuta with the Rev. Lorenzo Carter officiating. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Dansby, 22, of Vossburg, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, in Heidelberg.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Quitman.



Margaret A. Wagner



Services for Margaret A. “Peggy” Wagner will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Boudraux officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Wagner, 58, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was employed by Rush Foundation Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Chuck Wagner of Florida, Danny Wagner of Pennsylvania; Katie Hardy of Meridian; grandchildren, Charlie Wagner and Matthew Wagner, both of Florida, Daniel Wagner and Brady Wagner, both of Pennsylvania, Justin Hardy and Victoria Hardy, both of Meridian and a brother, Allen French of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret B. French.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Wagner, Danny Wagner, Jerry Ballew, Allen French, Christopher Hardy and Tracy Waddell.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Era Inez Massey



Graveside services for Era Inez Massey were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Cory Stott officiating. Barham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Massey, 81, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Burt Massey of Meridian; a daughter, Linda Massey Bruister and her husband, Herbert, of Meridian; a granddaughter, Katie Bruister of Meridian; sisters, Effie Berry and Faye Milam, both of Opelika, Ala., Maye Akin of Valley, Ala., and Loette Sigers, of Auburn, Ala.; a brother, Caron Adams of Camphill, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Margie Adams of Roanoke, Ala., Ruth Massey, of Hoover, Ala., and a brother-in-law, George Massey and his wife, Delores, of Birmingham, Ala. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Walker Adams and brothers, Ray Adams and James Adams.

Arrangements were incomplete at Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home for Willie Albert Gowdy, 33, of Meridian, who died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 in Meridian.



Sara Lanterman



Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Sara Lanterman, 73, of Meridian who died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, in her home.
