John Douglas Brogan



Services for John Douglas Brogan will be held today at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Brogan, 64, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Heartfelt Hospice. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was a member of Meridian Hamasa Shrine. He worked several years with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department.

Survivors include his son, Johnny and his wife, Keri, of Wilsonville, Ala.; a granddaughter, Jessica Brogan; his mother, Evelyn Brogan of Meridian; brothers, Tommy Brogan Sr. and his wife, Gayle of Meridian and Jackie Brogan and his wife, KayCee, of Grenada.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy D. Brogan.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Rutledge, Lyle Brogan, Patrick Brogan, Steve Brogan, Billy Harper and Johnny Sneed.



Theodore Cottrell

Retired



BUTLER, Ala. — Service for Theodore Cottrell will be held today at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove AME Zion Church in Ward with the Rev. Willie Vines officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cottrell, 91, of Butler, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, in his home.



Donna Rogers Burcham



Services for Donna Rogers Burcham will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Winkleman officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Burcham, 59, of Meridian, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, in her home. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Burcham of Meridian; a daughter, Sagee Efetts and her husband, Shane, of Corinth; son, Shamus Burcham and his fiancé Elizabeth Carmichael of Meridian; step-son, Daniel Burcham of Arkansas; grandchildren, Emile Efetts and Luke Efetts; her mother, Brosa Rogers of Corinth; grandmother, Frances Nelms of Corinth; a brother, Herbie Rogers and his wife, Tina, of Corinth and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Rogers and grandfather, Hampton Nelms.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Reba Kathleen Brewer



SEBASTOPOL — Services for Reba Kathleen Brewer will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Hank Moreau, David Rives, Ricky Wilcher and Ray Files officiating. Burial will be in in High Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Brewer, 90, of Sebastopol, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, in her home.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Ware; her son Tom Brewer; one brother; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Wennis Brown



Arrangements were incomplete at Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home for Wennis Brown, 69, of Newton, who died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, in his home.



Minnie Pearl Jordan



DEKALB — Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Minnie Pearl Jordan, 83, formerly of Meehan and Meridian, who died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, in Ohio.



James Lewis Moulds



Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for James “Jamie” Lewis Moulds, 33, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.



Mary Bea Brown



NEWTON — Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Mary Bea Brown, 96, of Park Ridge, Ill., formerly of Newton, who died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, in Park Ridge.
