Dorothy L. Barkley

Services for Dorothy L. Barkley will held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial will in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barkley, 87, of Meridian, died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

She was the owner and operator of Empress Beauty Supply.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Barkley and his wife, Sandra, of Sidney, Montana, and Paul Barkley and his wife, Lynda, of Meridian, five grandchildren, Steven, Jennifer, Jason, Paula and Erin, two brothers, H. G. Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Polly, of Shreveport, Louisiana and James Edward Robertson, of Florida, and one sister, Sally Johnson and her husband, Ward, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, eight great-grandchildren and special friend, Mary Willoughby.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd F. Barkley, and brother, Leon Robertson.

The family requests memorials be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barkley was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Henry G. and Virginia Pauline Robertson on March 19, 1920. She married Lloyd F. Barkley January, 15, 1939 in Shreveport and moved to Meridian in March of 1966 to open Empress Beauty Supply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.



Annie Mae McGrew Crenshaw



Services for Annie Mae McGrew Crenshaw will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Allen officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Crenshaw, 88, of Collinsville, died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Queen City Nursing Home.

Survivors include one son, Odell Crenshaw and his wife Betty, of Meridian, two daughters, Jane Scruggs, and Delores Roberts and her husband, Wayne, all of Collinsville, grandchildren, Mike Scruggs, Mark Scruggs, Chad Scruggs and his wife Kim, of Collinsville, Dawn Crenshaw, of Meridian, Brande Beddingfield and her husband, Chris, of Brandon, William Linton and DeWayna Roberts, of Collinsville. Great-grandchildren, Drezden Scruggs, Taylor Scruggs and Tanner Scruggs, all of Collinsville, and Raley and Raine Beddingfield, both of Brandon, and Amber Harris and her husband, Vance, of Meridian. Great-great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine and Braison Harris, both of Meridian, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and several brothers and sisters.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Ronald McDonald House or your favorite charity.

Visitation will be Monday, September 24 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Scruggs, Mark Scruggs, Chad Scruggs, Drezden Scruggs and William Linton. Honorary pallbearer will be Tanner Scruggs.



Reggie D. Bridges, Jr.



Graveside services for Reggie D. Bridges, Jr., will be held Monday, September 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Bennie Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bridges died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Rush Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home.



Edna Jimerson



Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Edna Jimerson of Meridian who died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
