Mattierene Walker

MERIDIAN —

 

    Services for Mattierene Walker will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ralph “Ed” Flashkamp officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Philadelphia with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Walker, 81, of Meridian, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Trinity Baptist Church while attending her 82nd Birthday Party. Mrs. Walker was a retired hairdresser. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

    Survivors include a daughter Belinda Kanis of Plainsboro, N.J., a son Lynn Eric Horn and his wife, Grace of Staton Island, N.Y., eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also, a cousin and caretaker, Doris White of Meridian, a host of  other relatives and her church family.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Lottie Mae and Bud Walker.

    Pallbearers will be Jeffery Walker, Richard White, Terry Mark White, Paul Glosson, Joe Limerick, and Jim Duncan. Mr. M.P. Cannon will be an honorary pallbearer.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Sunday School Fund, P. O. Box 455, Marion, Miss. 39342.

    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
