Robert Theodore Stivers

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Robert Theodore Stivers will be held Thursday, October 4, at 11:00 a.m. at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, with The Reverend Brian Ponder officiating. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Stivers, 92, of Meridian, died Thursday, September 27, 2012. He was a veteran of the United States Army. His beloved wife of 68 years was Mirah Hollene (Holly) Stivers, who died on June 27, 2012.

     He is survived by his daughter, Holly Morgan (and Tommy Ethridge); granddaughter, Rani Carr (and Brian Carr); great-grandson, Sebastien Robert Carr; niece, June Rhodes (and Gene Rhodes); nephews, James E. Stivers (and Jacie Stivers), Robert C. Stivers, and Richard A. Stivers; and caregiver, Shelia Naylor.

     He was also preceded in death by his only brother, James Edgar Stivers and parents, Robert Clinton Stivers and Jessie Wilson Stivers.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1116 23rd Ave., Meridian MS 39301.
