Ruth Deale Brody

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Ruth Deale Brody will be held Thursday, at 11:30 a.m., at Webb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Brody, 92, was born on Dec. 16, 1920 in Shuqualak, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her home in Madison, Ala. She retired as an accountant for the Meridian Housing Authority in 1984. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading the Bible.

    Survivors include her two sons: Steven Robert Brody of Elk Grove, Calif., and Jeffrey Philip Brody and his wife Shelia of Madison, Ala.; four granddaughters: Lisha Karpay-Brody, Hallie Brody Bagwell, Ashley Brody Vaughn and Katherine Grace (Katie) Brody; and, four great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon A. Brody; her mother, Mamie Deale; and her brother, John Wilson Deale.

    Visitation will be Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
