Marvis Sisson

MERIDIAN —

    PHILADELPHIA - Services for Marvis Sisson will be held today, at 2 p.m., at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County with McClain-Hays Funeral Home of Philadelphia in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Sisson, 80, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her residence. She was born and reared in the Zion Community of Neshoba County and made her home in Philadelphia most of her adult life. Mrs. Sisson retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

    Survivors include her daughter, Patti Abraham and her husband Jimmy of Starkville; grandsons: Jim Abraham of Quitman, Josh Abraham and his wife Morgan of Tupelo, and Jase Abraham and his wife Whitney of Starkville; and sister, Margarette Stevens of Shreveport, La.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Sisson.

    Pallbearers will be Tim Sisson, Jim Sisson, Kim Sisson, Phillip Willis, Gary Todd, Stan Manning, Jerome Manning, and Elridge Burkes.

    Visitation will be today, from 12 noon until service time, at the funeral home.
