Services for Vera Herrington will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m., at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Guess and Rev. Rusty Walton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Herrington, 97, of Union, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at J.G. Alexander Nursing Home. She was a long time member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family and her church.
Survivors include two brothers: Earl Collins and wife Carolyn of Brandon, and Muriel Collins and wife JoAnne of Union; sister, Lorene Gordon of Union; and, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Herrington; parents, Quill and Izzie Collins; and, three sisters: Eva Smith, Irene Smith, and Pearl Morris.
Pallbearers will be Steve Nelson, Jack Reynolds, Ricky Cleveland, Clifton Rush, Danny Russell, and Craig Johnson.
Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
