Kenneth Trapp

PHILADELPHIA —



   Graveside services for Kenneth Trapp will be held today, at 2 p.m., at Morrow Cemetery in the Dixon Community of Neshoba County with Rev. Brett Cooper and Rev. Alvin Clay officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Trapp, 86, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at his residence. He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Meridian. He was a retired Captain with the Meridian Fire Department and was a cattle farmer. Mr. Trapp attended Rocky Hill Church of God. He served in the U.S. Army.

    Survivors include his sister, Mary French and her husband James of Meridian; brother-in-law, Conoy Watkins of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Mazell Watkins of Meridian; nephew, Billy Land and his wife Gail of Philadelphia; nieces: Alinda Ritchie and her husband Jim of Meridian, and Sheila Stephens and her husband Todd of Hattiesburg; great-nephews: Jason Catlett and Forrest Catlett; great-niece, Kathy Ross; great-great-niece, Michelle Carlton; great-great-great-nephew, Kaleb Carlton; and great-great-great-niece, Brooklee Carlton.

     Joyce, his wife of 66 years, preceded him in death in 2010.

    Pallbearers will be Felton Trapp, Mike Covert, Jim Ethridge, Keith Goodson, Frank Matthews and Gwen Goss.

    Honorary pallbearer is Todd Stephens.

    Visitation will be today, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
