Donald L. Williams

MERIDIAN —

 

    Graveside services for Donald L. Williams will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Sageville United Methodist Church Cemetery on Arundel Road, with the Rev. Jack Kern officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Williams, 81, of Meridian, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved to fish and was a member of Meridian Moose Lodge #1628 and a member of Phi Delta Kappa fraternity.

    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Griffin Williams; daughters, Elaine Vincent of Florence, Evelyn Mayerhoff (Ed) of Meridian and Carolyn Jones (Gary) of Meridian; son, Bill Slay (Diane) of Meridian; grandsons, Mark Vincent, Sam Vincent and Matt Mayerhoff; granddaughters, Liz Mercer, Kristie Stevens, Jami Heaslip, Amber Johnson and Jessica Pickard; four great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Vivian Blair Williams; and a twin brother, Ronald Williams.

    Pallbearers are Mark Vincent, Sam Vincent, Gary Jones, Ed Mayerhoff, Matt Mayerhoff and Michael Ray Johnston.

    Visitation will be held today, from 1 p.m.-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
