William Earl Allen

MERIDIAN —

    TUPELO – Memorial services for William “Doug” Earl Allen will be held Saturday, at 1 p.m., at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Bert Harper officiating.  Holland Funeral Directors Tupelo Chapel is in charge of arrangements.   

    Mr. Allen, 68, formerly of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Golden Living Center. He was born Feb. 19, 1944, in DeKalb, to T.G. Allen and Bonnie Jean Anthony Allen.

    Survivors include his son, Doug Allen (Shay) of the Furrs Community; the mother of his son, Alice Robison of Meridian; three step-daughters: Tammy Vigor and Lynn Smith, both of Meridian, and Kay Constonza of New Orleans, La.; three brothers: Jerry Allen of Meridian, and Donald Allen and Jarvis Allen, both of Laurel; two sisters: Ann Nance and Nan Kent, both of Meridian; 12 grandchildren; and, four great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-daughter, Diane LaCalle.

    Visitation will be from one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
