Burlyn Coburt Rigdon

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Burlyn Coburt Rigdon will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Military honors

will be rendered at graveside.

    Mr. Rigdon, 73, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home. He was native of Newton County. Mr. Rigdon was a retired jailer for the Meridian Police Department, a retired U.S. Navy veteran and member of

Northcrest Baptist Church.

    He is survived by his daughter, Linda Jo Rigdon of New London, Wisc.; son, B.C. Rigdon Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of North Pole, Ark.; godchildren, Denise Alexander and Renee Homan, both of Meridian, Patricia Alexander of Dallas, Texas, and Shelia White of Olive Branch; granddaughter, Katerina Rigdon of North Pole; two god-granddaughters, Loretta Giuliano and Corey Odom, both of Meridian; and best friends, Bob and Pat Alexander of Olive Branch.

     Pallbearers will be active and retired members of the Meridian Police Department.

    Visitation will be on the day of services, from noon-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
