Services for Christine “Chris” Renae Weathers Cumberland were Saturday at St. John's Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Arlington, TX.
Mrs. Cumberland, 48, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at a Dallas, TX hospital.
She was born March 14, 1963, in Topeka, KS to James Weathers and Beverly “Bev” Weather Burnett. In 1984 she married Mike Cumberland; in that union two children were born, Jamie and Loren Cumberland. They later divorced. She was employed for 15 years with AT&T, where she made many longtime friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Weathers; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Weerts; step-father, Lyle Burnett; and uncle and aunt, Larrie and Jan Herschell.
She requested that her body be donated to science.
Survivors include; her children, Jamie and Loren Cumberland; her parents, James Weathers and Bev Weathers Burnett; step-mother, Tressa Weathers; sister Penny Hammett; step-brother, VanDale Brooks; grandson, Kaiden Tyler Stubblefield, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
