Frances Adell Adcock Moore

MERIDIAN —     VALDOSTA, Ga. — Services for Frances Adell Adcock Moore will be held today at 2 p.m. In the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services in Valdosta, Ga. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta.

    Mrs. Moore, 75, of Valdosta, Ga., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 in Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

    She was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Yazoo City, Miss., to the late Malcom George Adcock and Maude Adcock Carley. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and ‘Nana’ to her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Brookshier C. Moore, infant daughter Jackie Elise Adair, sister Barbara McGinty, and a brother Malcolm Adcock. She was a member of the Seasons Church in Valdosta.     Survivors include; son and daughter-in-law, Pierce Desmond and Robin Steele, Meridian, Miss,; daughters and son-in-law, Darlene V. Kirk,  Columbus, Miss., Nancy Karen Beaugh, Columbus, Miss., Jo A. and Jeremy W. Pate, Valdosta; grandchildren, Karen Beaugh Sturgis, Austin, Texas, Amanda Ward Steis, Valdosta, Kylie Alaina Ward, Valdosta, Justus G. Desmond Steele, Meridian, Miss., Mary Catherine Lindsay, Starkville, Miss.; great grandchild, Jayden Sturgis, sister, Lucy McCaslin, Austin, Texas; and brothers, Billy Adcock, Gautier, Miss., Jerald Adcock, Baltimore, Md.
