Rebekah Hurley Toney

QUITMAN —      Graveside services for Rebekah "Ree Ree" Hurley Toney will be today, at 2 p.m., at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian with Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Mrs. Toney, 94, of Quitman, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her residence.

    Survivors include her daughter, Rebekah Toney Stafford; grandchildren: William Shaun Toney, Ashley Toney Wade, Jacob E. Toney, IV, Hobart E. Smith, John J. Smith, Jessie Amy Smith, Trapp S. Tischner, Tiffany Stafford, Tonya Peeks, Tammy Canida and Bobby Joe Stafford Jr.; and, numerous great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob E. Toney Jr.; children: Jacob E. Toney III, and Jessie Smitherman Toney Chatham; parents, John Frank Hurley Sr. and Jessie L. Hurley; one brother; and, three sisters.

    Visitation will be today, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
