Grace Bonner

NEWTON —     Graveside services for Grace Bonner will be held today, at 2 p.m., at Newton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Gilbert Allen and Bro. Charles Bonner officiating. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Bonner, 83 of Newton, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her home. She was a native of Clarke County and a member of Midway Baptist Church. She loved flowers, cooking, and always helping others. She was called "Amazing Grace" by those that knew her because of her willingness to always put others before herself. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be greatly missed.

    Survivors include her children: Norma Mills of Newton, Bro. Charles Bonner and his wife Judy of Long Beach, Dallie Wayne Bonner and his wife Belinda of Meridian, and Patsy Griffin and her husband David of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and, two brothers: Russell Graham and his wife Glenda, and Guilliam Graham and his wife Marylin, both of Quitman.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle J. Bonner; one son, Lavon Bonner; and her parents, Elmer and Zula Dunnam Graham.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
