MERIDIAN —
Funeral services for Charles Sparrow Grant will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Hendrick officiating. Burial will be in Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Newton with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.
Mr.Grant, 81, of Meridian died Thursday at Infinity Hospice. He was a U.S.veteran.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Grant of Meridian, seven daughters: Monica Grant of Fairfield, NC.: Brenda Dennis of Chicago,Il.: Anita Lawrence(Frederick) and Audrey Lawrence both of Compton,Ca.: Betty Grant, Linda Blakney(Marcus), Brenda Wade (Derrick) all of Meridian; four sons; Michael Hale (Janet): of Meridian,Tony Larkin (Doris) of Georgia, Charles Grant, Jr. and Keith Grant, both of Meridian; 30 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
The body will be at the church one hour prior to services.
