Driver test? There's an app for that

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Department of Public Safety has partnered with Mississippi Interactive LLC to offer a driver's practice test application for residents with the proper phones or other hand-held computing devices.

The app consists of 25 randomly generated test questions that provide an alternative for residents to study for the state's driver's license exam.

Maj. Chris Gillard, director the Highway Patrol's Driver Services, says in a news release that motorists with licenses can use the app as a refresher course on the rules of the road.

Officials say the interactive app features graphics, pictures and road signs to test user's knowledge. After taking the practice test, users will receive the correct answers and a pass or fail score.
